Official SCEC Filing For Lt. Governor Candidate Jessica Ethridge

COLUMBIA, S.C.-- The most inclusive ticket and diverse pairing of candidates is the Libertarian party’s Reeves/Ethridge option signing tomorrow in the SC Elections Commission Office at 10 a.m.

Dr. Morgan Bruce Reeves will add Mrs. Jessica Ethridge as running mate on his petition to become Governor of South Carolina.

“I’m thrilled to add Mrs. Ethridge to the ticket,” Dr Reeves said. “She’s a dynamic leader, a thoughtful, compassionate person, and a community activist who models the very ideals of our ticket.”

Dr. Reeves is an African American, Irmo native, business owner and former senior pastor. His work in the community has focused on counseling youth and philanthropic efforts to provide opportunities like education and jobs for young people. Mrs. Ethridge is a Greer native, working mom to two young men, and active in her faith community. Her leadership in business operations, workforce management, and organizational development have earned her recognition and accolades.

“I’m honored to have the trust of the Libertarian Party and Dr. Reeves to lead at the highest level of the executive branch in our state,” said Mrs. Ethridge.

The pair was confirmed by the South Carolina Libertarian Party in convention on June 18, 2022 and have established unique positions on several key issues facing the electorate this fall.

The pair will meet with Chris Whitmire at the South Carolina Elections Commission Thursday morning, June 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to make the ticket official and take questions immediately afterward in the SCEC lobby. Media representatives are invited for prepared statements and an open Q&A.
